Vegetarian
July 8, 2008
I have been eating 100 % vegetarian for the past 2 weeks except on the 4th of July. Jacob encouraged me to eat more vegetables and fruit so, I have been. It was easy after I made the decision that I need to eat a lot more fiber and a who lot less of everything else. I have had more energy, but a bit disappointed that I haven’t lost any weight. But I guess with time I will. Making this decision force me to find healthy foods to eat, instead of just grabbing the closes thing to me. I was just going to do this for 2 weeks and revisit my plan but I am going to do a whole month ( my health is worth not having a hamburger or club sandwich for 1 month) who knows it maybe more than 1 month, but I will see when I get there.
Oh and another thing, I joined Jacob on his last stretch of his 1 year commitment not to have any sugar. So I haven’t had sugar in about 2 weeks and we have about 1 1/2 months to go before our goal is met.
Talk to you guys soon

Man am I tired!!
April 25, 2008
Well I have been getting a workout that I didn’t expect to be getting, I expected to be walking, doing sit ups and generally exercise. But thanks to my friends John and Ce I have been receiving more than I though by helping them out. WOW would have thought I would be so exhausted from doing household chores. My friends recently had a baby GIRL, tomorrow she will be 3 weeks and they also have a 2 year old son. Actually, they have been a huge blessing in our lives. The same day they had their daughter I received news from my boss that my hours were going to cut down and so in discussing that with my friends they mentioned that early the had discussed hiring someone to help them with general daily task. What a blessing that was. So for 3 weeks know I have been assisting them, it has been a true workout . Did I mention they have a 2 year old with a ton of energy! LOL So the moral of the story clean your house and you too can receive an unexpected workout!!!

So exercise, we all need, but it seems to be monkey on peoples back. There are so many excuses, no time, to tired, etc…, but what if the time we do have we utilize it. Example you have to go to the market, I know the first thing I do is look for the closest parking spot!! I know so do you, but what if we took the farthest parking down that aisle, I know it isn’t a mile or anything, but it is more walking than you planned on. Leave me some tips on other ways of adding more walking into my day. Talk to you soon. – DES
